SMD Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors, standard range

Our SMD Multi-Layer Ceramic Capacitor (MLCC) standard range extends across case sizes range from 0402 to 8060 and voltages of 10V to 12kVdc

These devices are part of the Standard Components reliability grade we offer. Within the Standard Components reliability grade we cover standard MLC capacitor construction to Tandem Capacitors with FlexiCap termination for increased reliability.

For higher levels of reliability please review our AEC-Q200 and High Reliability MLCC ranges.

The Standard and High Voltage range of multilayer ceramic capacitors include:

  • Standard Capacitor classes

  • Construction Innovations

    • StackiCapTM Construction (offers a significant reduction in ‘PCB real estate’ for an equivalent capacitance value when board space is at a premium.)
    • FlexiCapTM Termination (designed to reduce stress damage to MLCCs)
  • Design Variations for increased performance/reliability

    • TCC/VCC (X7R capacitors with a defined capacitance variation under applied dc voltage, across the full operating temperature range)
    • NC Range (The NC range is designed to achieve the maximum capacitance range possible for a given component size and high voltage when combined with 100% coating of the chip after mounting)
    • 250V AC (a range which provides a solution for use at up to 250Vac 60Hz continuous use and provides for non safety-critical applications where extended capacitance ranges are required)
    • 500V AC (a range which provides a solution for use at up to 500Vac 60Hz continuous use and provides for non safety-critical applications where extended capacitance ranges are required)
    • VC1 (The VC1 residual capacitance range MLCCs provide a more stable capacitance value with voltage - not to drop below 50% of the 1Vrms 1kHz value, up to full rated DC voltage, at room temperature.)
    • 115V AC 400Hz (capacitors for aerospace applications that are designed and tested to meet the associated voltage and frequency transients required by MIL-STD-704)
    • Open Mode Capacitors (designed specifically for use in applications where mechanical cracking is a severe problem and short circuits due to cracking are unacceptable)
    • Tandem Capacitors (designed as a fail safe range using a series section internal design, for use in any application where short circuits would be unacceptable.)
